In an old scrapbook from 1901 I just found this two-part advert for Ridgways tea. The gentleman is enjoying a refreshing cup of tea:

You can lift his cup up and down by sliding the flap.

He puts his cup down for a moment

Unfortunately, midway, the unintended effect is that he is vomiting into the cup. Still, much fun to be had!

Oh dear! A little too much Ridgways, perhaps?
