If you’re near Welwyn Garden City or Hatfield, don’t forget about Mill Green Museum. It’s such a lovely old place. I take my sandwiches there sometimes in the summer and admire the old roses.
From July 16th, they’ll be serving sandwiches and cakes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes or just take your own and find a quiet corner, of which there are many.
The mill grinds flour on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and you can buy a bag of organic flour to make your own bread. They even run breadmaking courses that include foccaccia, ciabatta, pitta, stollen, barabrith — you name it. It’s a little corner of heaven.
So pleased you enjoy coming down to enjoy this unique and picturesque site.
